Wireless storage + power and thermal design · OTA
Phone Accessories
Storage and expansion around a phone: WiFi mobile drives, wireless file management and phone-to-drive access — with the power and thermal design that decides whether the transfer actually finishes.
The part that decides the project
Sustained throughput, which is a thermal problem before it is a wireless one.
Any drive is fast for the first thirty seconds; moving a day of 4K footage means holding that rate while the controller heats up and the battery sags. The enclosure is part of the spec, not a wrapper around it.
OTA
OTA is in every connected design
Firmware ships with a dual-partition layout and automatic fallback, so an interrupted update boots the previous image instead of bricking the unit. Updates go out in staged batches from the device cloud, with version reporting per unit. It is designed in at the first prototype, not added before launch.
What you need to decide before we can quote
- Capacity and media — the controller and thermals follow from it
- Bus-powered from the phone, or its own battery
- Whose app manages the files, and on which platforms
What this direction covers
- WiFi mobile drives
- Wireless storage & file management
- Phone-to-drive data access
- Low-power supply design
- Embedded firmware
- Enclosure & thermal optimisation
