Electronics product development in Shenzhen, from specification to production

You have a product defined; you need the people who turn it into hardware that passes certification and comes off a line the same way every time. Electronics, PCB, embedded firmware, wireless, enclosure, prototypes, test and production — one team, one point of contact.

Where people usually are when they call

You have a specification

A written spec, maybe sketches or a concept render, and no hardware yet. We turn it into an architecture, a component choice and a cost estimate before anyone draws a schematic.

You have a working prototype

A development board, a hand-wired proof of concept, or a short run from another supplier that is not manufacturable. We redesign for production: real PCB, real enclosure, a test plan.

Your team builds the app

Common, and fine. We define and document the device’s Bluetooth or WiFi interface early, so your app team can build against it while the hardware is still in development.

You have a product to re-engineer

An existing device with a part going end-of-life, a cost target it misses, or a certification it failed. We take the existing design and fix what is blocking it.

What decides whether a new device ships

01

The radio inside the enclosure

A Bluetooth or WiFi module that works on the bench can lose most of its range inside a plastic or metal shell, next to a battery, mounted on a vehicle. Antenna placement is decided together with the enclosure, not after it.

02

Battery, charging and shipping

A rechargeable lithium cell brings a charging circuit, protection, and UN38.3 before it can be air-freighted. Cell size also decides the enclosure. Settle it before tooling.

03

Power budget

Battery life is set by how long the device sleeps and how little it draws while asleep. That is a firmware and component decision made at the start, and it is measured on real boards, not estimated from datasheets.

04

Sensors need calibration

An accelerometer, a load cell or a temperature sensor is only as accurate as its calibration. If the product promises accuracy, every unit needs a calibration step and a fixture on the line — designed alongside the product, not added at the end.

05

Design for manufacture

Wall thickness, draft, snap fits, screw bosses, how the board goes in and how it is tested. A DFM review before the mould is cut moves the surprises into CAD rather than into steel.

06

Certification for your market

Anything with a radio needs approval in each market it is sold in, and a lithium battery adds its own. We map the route and schedule the lab alongside tooling; testing is done by accredited labs, not by us.

Where you can start

Full development

Specification to mass production: architecture, schematic and PCB, firmware, enclosure and tooling, prototypes, certification planning, pilot run and production in Shenzhen, with our engineers owning DFM, test fixtures and quality control.

Right when · You have a defined product and no hardware team, or not enough of one.

Prototype to production

You have something that works. We redesign it for manufacture and certification, build the samples, and take it through pilot run and production.

Right when · The concept is proven; the hardware is not yet a product.

Your design, our production (OEM)

You bring finished design files. We review them for manufacture, build the test plan and fixtures, and run production.

Right when · The design is done and proven; you need a production partner.

Questions we are asked

Will you sign an NDA before we send the specification?

Yes, and we expect to. We sign a mutual NDA before any specification, drawings or photos are exchanged. If you have your own template, send it — that is usually the fastest route.

Who owns the design?

IP terms for the hardware design, firmware and tooling are fixed in the contract before work starts. Client projects are under NDA by default and never published or shown to other customers.

Our own team is building the mobile app. Is that a problem?

No. We define the device’s Bluetooth or WiFi interface early, document it, and support your app developers through integration and testing. If you would rather we built the app as well, we can.

How long does a first prototype take?

It depends on how much is new — a board around a known module is weeks, a new enclosure with tooling-grade parts takes longer. We commit to a schedule after reviewing the specification, and we would rather quote a date we can hold.

How is the project priced?

Development (NRE), prototypes and tooling are quoted separately from the unit price, so you can see each. Order quantity is quoted per project. Production payment is 30% deposit and 70% before shipment.
